Clutch Arm, Verto Clutch The late model Minis were changed to a smoother operating clutch . The 'verto' clutch as it is referred to also uses a much shorter arm in the flywheel housing. The Verto type clutch arm is 2.75" long from the clevis pin hole.
The earlier pre vert type is over 6"(165mm) long. The ball on the bottom of both type of arm wears on both types and if the clutch is wrongly adjusted the arm (especially the long type) pressure. If You are having clutch problems, always Check the ball end of the arm for wear.
